Print is the work, which artist supervises completely rough drawing, making print plate, print, and final check.
It is produced with using a complex technique by the print studio, and the number of print has been limited. The artist checks printed print one by one by himself. And signature and a limited number are being put only in the work, he admits as the finished goods.
Ichiro Tsuruta's prints are mainly used by three kinds of techniques (Lithograph, Silkscreen, and Giclee). All work produced in these techniques are completed through an elaborate communication over several time of the writer and the craftsman.
We are pleased to introduce those techniques as follows;

It is the print of planographic print that it is mainly called a lithograph in Japanese.
A lithography (Lime Stone) is drawn by the strong oily ink, the pencil, the chalk, and the crayon. Ink adheres only to the drawn part when the Arabic rubber liquid, talc powder and the nitric acid were added, is painted on that.
The copying the ink onto paper adds colors.
As Lithograph can express the detailed representation, Lithograph as it is drawn can be made a print and the aluminum plate and zinc plate are substituted besides the lithography at present.
It is said that a gradation and a detailed line can be expressed by putting colors and is used for "Blue Bird(Aoi Tori)", "Casablanca(Kasaburanka)", and "Awake(Mezame)", etc. in the Ichiro Tsuruta work.

It is a print of the stencil printing plate called Serigraph.
Put paints on screen such as silk, nylon, Tetron, stainless steel, and steel on the frame of the wood or the metal and paints print on paper by using flat rubber, called Squeeze, through the fine texture under the plate.
The characteristics of Silkscreen are to pile up paints to gravity feeling and to come out unification by the fine fabric of the cloth. Moreover, the borderline of color is clear and it is finished homogeneously. Silkscreen can reproduce the details of complex coloring by piling up many colors as same as lithograph.
This technique is used for the work, which expressed the comparison of the color such as "Destination", "Afternoon Party", and "Madonna".

Giclee is said the digital lithograph and it is a print technique that the latest computer technology is used for.
It is different from lithograph, Silkscreen, and so on, no use plate.
The technique of Giclee is to spray ink directly on the print paper by using the latest computer technology.
After the original picture is analyzed with the computer and measured strictly, the micro-particle is jetted. Its technique can make no less than 70000 fine colors.
It can reproduce the very delicate line, the change of the delicate color, and the shake of the color without any missing.
This technique is used for two works, "Blessing Muse" and "Purple Night Red Door".
